James Buchler is an award-winning elementary art teacher. He has spent years creating inclusive and engaging learning environments where students thrive artistically and academically. James Buchler’s passion for the visual arts, combined with a strong foundation in education and community service, has made a lasting impact on students, schools, and families alike.
In 2015, James Buchler became an art teacher at East Allen County Schools. Later in 2018, he was named Woodlan Elementary Teacher of the Year, a testament to his instructional skill, dedication, and positive impact on students. Under his guidance, students earned multiple district art awards, highlighting his ability to cultivate artistic growth and confidence across grade levels.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Buchler played a central role in elevating arts programming across the district. He organized and contributed to signature events such as the FAME Art Show and Fine Arts Day, coordinated art for special musical performances, and supported student participation in art contests and clubs.
His leadership extended beyond the classroom through service on social committees and textbook adoption committees, reflecting his collaborative approach to school improvement.
